Steps to Apply for Studying in the US
The following steps are needed for studying in the US :-
Step 1 - The first step is to choose the school that is certified from a Student and Exchange Visitor Program. You can choose the course you want to avail for. You can check out the educational sites of the US government if you want to enroll for the courses.
Step 2 - The next step is to pay I-901 SEVIS fees. Once your application is accepted, you will receive an I-20 form. This form is like a certificate for the eligibility for the nonimmigrant student status.
Step 3 - After receiving your I-901 SEVIS fees receipt, you can now apply for the US Student Visa. The candidate should be well-prepared for the interview round with the higher authorities. In the interview round, you will have to showcase your eligibility.
Step 4 - Collect all the documents needed for the US immigration. You can consult an immigration consultant for this step. The documents needed are Passport, I-20 form, acceptance letter by the department, bank statements showing financial ability.
Step 5 - Once your Student visa is approved, the next step is to verify your information via the Customs Border Protection officer. You should make sure that you carry the documents for verification. In case you fail to carry the documents, you will have to go through secondary inspection. The inspectors will conduct additional research to verify your background.
Step 6 - You will be given an I-94 Arrival Form that shows you are legally authorized to reside in the US. After you have been admitted to a US School, you will have 30 days to report.
